How To Vote

There are three safe and convenient ways to vote.

Option 1: Vote By Mail

Voting by mail is a safe, secure option and a convenient choice for many voters, especially for people that might have busy schedules or disabilities.

If you got a ballot in the mail for the last election, and you haven’t moved, you are all set! If you haven’t been getting your ballots in the mail but want to start, sign up here. You must sign up before October 25, 2024.

Once you receive your ballot and fill it out, make sure to mail it back no later than October 29, 2024. If you miss the deadline to mail it back, you have the option of dropping it off at a drop-box or at any polling place in your county on or before November 5th (election day).

Make sure it is signed, sealed, dated, and includes your phone number in case the County Recorder’s office has to reach you to count your vote. A family member, caregiver, or housemate can also drop off your ballot for you.

Option 2: Vote Early in Person
Option 3: Election Day

You can also vote in person on Election Day! Polls are open from 6am to 7pm. If you are in line by 7pm, you have the right to vote.

Depending on your county, you may need to go to a specific, assigned polling location, or you may be able to use any polling place in your county. Find your nearest polling location here.
